Join RSV Research Study

(Common Respiratory Virus)

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) can cause mild to severe respiratory illness, particularly in young children, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems. This RSV research study assesses the test vaccine’s clinical efficacy, safety, and reactogenicity in older adults.

RSV clinical trials are underway in Little River, South Carolina, to help find potential treatments for the condition.

What is a Clinical Research Study?

Clinical trials are research studies that test the impact of new or existing medical interventions on human volunteers. These interventions can be anything from medications (think new drugs, vaccines, or therapies) to medical devices (pacemakers, stents, surgical techniques) and even treatment approaches (new surgical procedures, behavioral therapies). The entire process is meticulously designed to assess the intervention’s safety, effectiveness, dosage, and potential side effects.
