Join Flu Vaccine Clinical Trials

(Flu Shot)

Influenza, commonly known as flu, is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It can spread through droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes. This study evaluates the efficacy, safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of a single dose of mRNA flu shots compared to licensed inactivated influenza vaccine in healthy adults.

Flu vaccine clinical trials in Little River, South Carolina, are underway to help find potential treatments for the contagious disease through mRNA flu shots.

What is a Clinical Research Study?

Clinical trials are research studies that test the impact of new or existing medical interventions on human volunteers. These interventions can be anything from medications (think new drugs, vaccines, or therapies) to medical devices (pacemakers, stents, surgical techniques) and even treatment approaches (new surgical procedures, behavioral therapies). The entire process is meticulously designed to assess the intervention’s safety, effectiveness, dosage, and potential side effects.
