Participate in Coronary Artery Disease Clinical Trials in Little River South Carolina

(Blocked Arteries)

Heart disease, or coronary artery disease, is when the arteries supplying oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle narrow or are blocked. This study will assess the effect of lowering low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) with the test drug on major cardiovascular events in adults without a prior myocardial infarction (MI) or stroke who are at high risk of a cardiovascular event.

Coronary artery disease clinical trials are underway in Little River, South Carolina, to help people with CHD manage and reduce the risks associated with the disease.

What is a Clinical Research Study?

Clinical trials are research studies that test the impact of new or existing medical interventions on human volunteers. These interventions can be anything from medications (think new drugs, vaccines, or therapies) to medical devices (pacemakers, stents, surgical techniques) and even treatment approaches (new surgical procedures, behavioral therapies). The entire process is meticulously designed to assess the intervention’s safety, effectiveness, dosage, and potential side effects.
